First-choice XI

The goalkeeper Not a save to perform in the first half until forced to intervene from Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. His sliding intervention against Qazim Laci showed his reading of the game. 6/10

Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and free-kicks were dangerous. Was given room to move down the left flank only to be offside when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Granted a merited substitution after an hour. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a high position down the right while also contributed with defensive duties. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance and mishit an effort over. Substituted late on by Rogers, his competition, following a yellow card. 7/10

The winger Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity in the opening period, his strike excellently kept out by the Albanian keeper. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to provide width on the right although his balls from the touchline were hit and miss. Substituted late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring two more goals at international level. His first a classic poacher’s finish and the second an excellent header after peeling away from his marker. Now 32, he’s only getting better and the side stand a real opportunity next summer when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to get into the game out wide. Had a decent opportunity following a pass from a teammate yet Strakosha made the save. Rashford made much more of effect after coming on. 5
