Locating the Venezuelan-affiliated Tanker Reportedly Pursued by American Maritime Authorities

Our team is analyzing video footage and photographs circulated this morning that show the aftermath of a alleged car bomb blast that authorities in Russia say killed a senior soldier in Moscow.
Russian authorities stated that Lt Gen Fanil Sarvarov was inside the vehicle that detonated and that he succumbed to his injuries. A probe is under way.
The initial step to verify the site from which the images originated relied on social media reports saying the blast happened on Yasenevaya Street in the southern district of the capital city of Russia.
We used panoramic mapping services on digital map platforms and the Russian search engine Yandex Maps to corroborate the distinctive yellow hue of a nearby apartment building captured in the footage.
Identifying additional structures, lamp-posts and the road configuration confirmed the exact location the pictures were taken.
Additionally, we verified that the video clips were new and that the images had not been digital alteration.
